Question 1

What is Minestarters?

Accepted Answer

Minestarters is a Web3 platform connecting mining entities and investors through tokenized RWAs, starting with mine exploration opportunities.

Question 2

What core problem in traditional mining finance is Minestarters designed to solve?

Accepted Answer

Traditional junior mining companies struggle to raise funding because their mineral assets are “in-ground,” generate no cash flow, and are hard to sell. This illiquidity creates valuation discounts and makes capital expensive and difficult to access. Minestarters solves this by creating a decentralized marketplace where tokenized mining assets can be more easily bought, sold, and financed, improving liquidity and access to capital for junior projects.

Question 3

What is a tokenized RWA?

Accepted Answer

A RWA (Real-World Asset) is a physical or financial asset, like a mine, property, or commodity, that is tokenized so it can be traded or invested in on-chain.

Question 4

What are the benefits to users of the Minestarters platform?

Accepted Answer

Platform users will benefit from: Expert-curated project selection: Our incubation team, led by the founder Marcel Nally (one of the UK's most recognized and successful mine exploration geologists), alongside the cornerstone investor, board advisors, and mining analysts, performs rigorous due diligence and selection. "Curated projects" means a comprehensive process, workflow, and level of expertise applied to project selection and incubation — all of which Vault investors benefit. Diversified risk through a portfolio approach — The Vault system pools multiple projects into a single investment vehicle, allowing investors to spread exposure across curated mining assets rather than risking capital on individual high-risk ventures. Superior financing terms: Non-institutional investors gain access to better terms and opportunities typically reserved for larger players, thanks to the platform's structure and institutional-grade curation. Enhanced liquidity: Blockchain tokenization provides greater liquidity for underlying mining assets compared to traditional illiquid exploration investments, and transparent on-chain benefit sharing.

Question 5

What are the benefits to mine exploration companies of listing on the platform?

Accepted Answer

Tokenizing mine exploration finance offers several key benefits for exploration companies: Unlocking hidden value in in-ground assets - Minerals such as gold, copper, and other resources are often discounted while still in the ground because of the high capital costs of mining and processing them, therefore they are illiquid and difficult to trade. By tokenizing these assets at any stage up to and including mining, their value can increase due to the ease of trading and broader market exposure. Access to a larger, global investor base - The platform opens up investment opportunities to a much wider audience, attracting significantly more capital than traditional channels. Lower cost of capital - On-chain finance can reduce capital costs by minimizing intermediaries and tapping into a more efficient, high-liquidity market, making funding more affordable for exploration projects. In short, Minestarters helps exploration companies maximize the value of their assets, reach more investors, and access capital more efficiently.

Question 6

What are the key benefits for retail and global investors who may not have previously had access to mining investments, and how does Minestarters lower the barrier to entry?

Accepted Answer

Access to previously exclusive opportunities - Traditionally, mine exploration investments are only available to a small number of professional investors through networking events. Minestarters opens this market to qualified retail and global investors. Professional due diligence - Every project listed on the platform undergoes a thorough evaluation by our team of highly regarded mine investment professionals. Only the most promising projects are presented to the community, ensuring quality and reliability. Risk diversification through vaults - Investments on the platform are structured via vaults, which raise capital for portfolios of exploration projects. This means the failure of one project does not automatically lead to a total loss, as profits from other projects in the portfolio can offset setbacks. In short, Minestarters lowers barriers to entry, ensures rigorous project selection, and provides built-in diversification for investors entering the mining sector.

Question 7

How can my company raise funds on Minestarters?

Accepted Answer

Mine exploration companies can either reach out to the team in our social channels: Telegram, Discord, or complete the full submission by clicking a request via the “ Submit Your Project ” link in the Incubation section of the website. The team will then get back to you and guide you through the project evaluation and onboarding process.

Question 8

Can I buy tokenized gold, silver and other commodities?

Accepted Answer

Our MVP (minimum viable product), launching in 2026, will focus on mine exploration opportunities. In the medium term, we intend to open the marketplace to enable the trading of tokenized minerals and metals.

Question 9

What is NAV?

Accepted Answer

NAV, or Net Asset Value, is the total value of a company's assets minus its liabilities, used to measure the worth of a mining project or tokenized asset. Our MVP will not track NAV of the underlying real world assets, however we will be rolling out NAV in a subsequent version of the platform.

Question 10

What is TVL?

Accepted Answer

TVL (Total Value Locked), in relation to Minestarters vaults, refers to the total value of mining exploration assets and associated capital that has been committed into a specific vault. More specifically, TVL represents: The aggregated value of mine exploration assets held in custody by the vault's corresponding Swiss custodian entity that have been financed by vault investors' capital deposited into the vault in exchange for tokenized rights to future revenues generated by those assets. Unlike DeFi lending or staking protocols where TVL reflects purely digital assets, Minestarters TVL is directly linked to real-world, off-chain mining exploration assets held under regulated custody, providing a measurable bridge between traditional mining finance and on-chain infrastructure.

Question 11

How does a Vault (basket) work?

Accepted Answer

When the vault investment period ends, and the minimum capital threshold is reached, the capital is off-ramped to the corresponding segregated account within the Bermuda Segregated Accounts Company (SAC). That segregated account then acquires the assets on behalf of the vault investors. Investors receive vault tokens representing proportional economic rights in the basket. All proceeds, including royalties, revenue share, exits, or other cash flows, are governed by structured legal agreements and distributed on-chain back to the vault.

Question 12

What blockchain network will the platform be launched on?

Accepted Answer

The platform is being developed in Solidity code and will be launched on an EVM compatible blockchain network; we have yet to decide on which Layer-1 or Layer-2 chain it will be launched.

Question 13

What is the Role of Curators

Accepted Answer

Curators can be mining investment companies or individuals. Curators will propose a basket of mine exploration investment opportunities for Minestarters to evaluate and onboard onto the platform. Curators must have extensive industry knowledge, an extensive network within the mining industry and ideally have a significant community of followers who respect their investment decisions. Curators bring value to the ecosystem both by attracting mine exploration investment opportunities as well as their respective community. Curators earn success fees from successful vault capital raise and revenue streams.

Question 14

What is the $MINE token

Accepted Answer

Minestarters will issue its own native utility token, provisionally called $MINE (may be subject to change). $MINE can support signalling toward baskets, protocol governance, and ecosystem participation. Demand is reinforced through platform usage, settlement flows, and supply-management mechanisms such as buybacks, burns, and utility sinks

Question 15

How do I buy Minestarters tokens?

Accepted Answer

$MINE is not yet available to buy. The TGE, or Token Generation Event, will be the date on which the utility token is minted and becomes available for everyone to purchase. We will communicate the approximate target date of the TGE as the roadmap.

Question 16

What is a Vault Token?

Accepted Answer

Investors receive vault tokens in return for depositing stablecoin into the vaults. The vault tokens provide their owners with proportional economic rights in each basket.

Question 17

What is an ART stablecoin?

Accepted Answer

ART stands for Asset-Referenced Tokens. In the medium term, Minestarters plans to explore a mining asset–backed stablecoin, which can unlock liquidity for the mining industry and help retain value within the ecosystem, ultimately benefiting the entire Minestarters community

Question 18

Bermuda Segregated Accounts Company (SAC)

Accepted Answer

Minestarters utilizes a Bermuda Segregated Accounts Company (SAC) structure to ring-fence assets and liabilities at the portfolio level. Each segregated account is legally separated, ensuring that the assets and obligations of one portfolio do not affect others. Independent oversight and structured governance are implemented to ensure that off-chain ownership and on-chain records remain properly aligned.

Question 19

Are vaults open to the general public or do investors need to be pre-qualified?

Accepted Answer

Investors will need to self-certify that they are qualified “sophisticated’” investors. Furthermore all vault investors will be required to KYC (complete Know-Your-Customer information) prior to being eligible to invest in the vault. Communication of the specific investment opportunities in each vault will be restricted both geographically and also in terms of investor eligibility.

Question 20

How does Minestarters handle regulatory considerations across different jurisdictions, given that mining assets and tokenized securities often face complex compliance challenges?

Accepted Answer

Minestarters will launch the threshold-based vault MVP, then progressively introduce additional features, such as: advanced signalling (e.g. utility-token staking), capital coordination (e.g. quadratic funding), and regulated frameworks (e.g. ECSP), once product-market fit and operational traction are established.

Question 21

What plans are there to engage and grow the community?

Accepted Answer

We plan to launch a test version of the platform in Q1 2026, allowing users to explore its features without any financial commitment. This test version will replicate the MVP (minimum viable product) on a testnet, where all transactions are free and there are no costs to users. The testnet will serve multiple purposes: it will educate the community on how the platform works and, most importantly, provide Minestarters with early feedback on the user experience. This feedback will help us refine and implement improvements before the official MVP launch.

Question 22

What if I have a question not listed in this FAQ?

Accepted Answer

Question 23

What are your plans in terms of security and code audit?

Accepted Answer

Minestarters will have the platform code audited by respected audit companies. The audit reports will be made public on the Minestarters website.

Question 24

Is Minestarters Secure?

Accepted Answer

Security is fundamental to Minestarters. In addition to rigorous smart contract audits, we take a holistic approach to risk management—covering domain and infrastructure security, robust internal processes, and continuous awareness of social engineering risks.
